What is the ALCPT?

Before focusing on Form 117, it is important to understand the broader system. The ALCPT is a 100-question, multiple-choice exam that evaluates listening and reading/structural skills. It is not a general English test like the TOEFL or IELTS; rather, it is designed to predict a student’s ability to succeed in the intensive American Language Course (ALC).
