This is the flagship mob. It resides in deep slime chunks or dark caves. It will not attack you if you look directly at it. However, the moment you turn your back or look away for too long, it accelerates to incredible speeds to catch you. In 2.0, the Cave Dweller can now break torches, plunging you back into darkness. Pro-Tips for Survival
- Never sleep outside. Dwellers can interrupt your sleep in 2.0, spawning a "Nightmare Sequence" where you fight a shadow clone of yourself.
- Listen for silence. If the ambient mob noises suddenly stop, do not move. Build a 2-block tower immediately.
- Carry a Boat. For some reason, Dwellers in 2.0 cannot pathfind over boats. It’s your only "pause button."
