1.1 Clearance Requirements
- Sides: Minimum 12 inches from combustible walls.
- Top: Minimum 24 inches of clearance above the kiln. Heat rises; the lid and vents become extremely hot.
- Floor: Place on a non-combustible surface (cement board or metal stand). Never on wood or carpet.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: The Evenheat Kiln Model 5320 is designed to operate on 240V, single-phase power. Ensure that the kiln is installed and maintained by a qualified electrician to prevent electrical shock.
- Fire Hazard: Kilns can get extremely hot and may cause fires if not properly installed, maintained, or used. Keep flammable materials away from the kiln and ensure proper ventilation.
- Burn Hazard: The kiln and its surfaces can reach extremely high temperatures, causing burns. Wear protective gear, including heat-resistant gloves and safety glasses, when operating the kiln.

Programming a Two-Segment Glass Slumping Cycle
- Power on the kiln. The display will show current temperature.
- Tap the center to enter Program Mode.
- Use the + or - to select an empty program slot (e.g., Program 1). Tap to confirm.
- Segment 1: Set Ramp (e.g., 400), set Target Temp (e.g., 1300), set Hold (0). Tap next.
- Segment 2: Set Ramp (99 = high fire), set Target Temp (960 – annealing soak), set Hold (1.0 hour).
- Segment 3: Set Ramp (200), set Target Temp (750), set Hold (0). Tap next until you see "End."
- Press and hold Run (right arrow) for 3 seconds.
Operating Voltage: Typically 240V, though 208V versions exist. Using a 208V kiln on 240V is dangerous and can exceed amperage limits. Amperage: Draws approximately 24 to 30 Amps. Maximum Temperature : 2400°F (1316°C) Kiln Chamber :
: Prop the lid open 1/2" to 1" and open the peephole to allow fumes to escape.
