1. The Software: CS-F2000
The official programming software for the Icom IC-F2000 series is called CS-F2000.

- For professionals: Buy the official CS-F2000 ($75–$150) – it is a business expense.
- For hobbyists: Use RT Systems ($49) or pay a dealer $25 for programming.
- For tinkerers: Try CHIRP only if you accept the risks.
Step 5: Reading the Radio
Turn the ICF2000 ON. Click Read (or Receive). The software will pull the current configuration from the radio. Always do this first to save a factory backup.
