• "File Error" on screen: You downloaded the wrong hardware version. The Mediastar Z2 has different motherboard revisions (e.g., V2.0 vs V3.0). Check the sticker on the bottom of your unit.
• USB not detected: Try a smaller USB drive (2GB or 4GB). Larger 32GB+ drives often have compatibility issues.
• Box stuck on "Boot": You turned it off during the update. Don't panic. Download a "forced recovery" file (often named flash.bin), place it on the USB, turn off the box, hold the CH- button on the front panel, and turn it back on.
