Melody Marks Summer School

Melody Marks Summer School ran for two weeks in July at the Lincoln Community Arts Center, offering music instruction, ensemble experience, and performance opportunities for students aged 8–18. Founded and led by violinist and educator Melody Marks, the program emphasizes collaborative learning, technique, and creativity across genres.

I recently had the pleasure of attending Melody Marks Summer School, and I must say it was an incredible experience! As a student, I was looking for a program that would help me get ahead in my studies and prepare me for the upcoming school year. Activities: "Debate in 5/4 time" (structured arguments with timed rhythmic constraints), coding music apps, peer tutoring.
Unique offering: Students can earn half an elective credit in "Cognitive Musicology" per summer session.
