  • Standard Passwords: A simple 4-8 digit numeric code required to switch from "Monitor" to "Edit" mode.
  • Security Levels (Levels 1-15): The GP-Pro EX software allows programmers to assign different access rights. A Level 15 user can do everything; a Level 1 user can only view.
  • System Area Passwords: These protect hardware settings (like the boot menu or Ethernet configuration).
  • Project File Passwords: Separate passwords that lock the actual backup file (.prx or *.pfx) on a USB stick or SD card.

Limitation: This method requires you to have access to a working copy of GP-Pro EX that matches the HMI’s firmware version. If you don't have the software, you cannot create the drive. proface hmi password unlock
