Installing a 100% completion save file in Yuzu for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate involves replacing the system_data.bin file within the game's designated save data location. Users can utilize community-shared save files or tools like Ultimate Smasher and Marc Robledo’s editor to unlock characters and spirits, ensuring the save version matches the installed game update.

  1. Download a converted Yuzu save (already decrypted).
  2. Extract the .zip file.
  3. Right-click SSBU in Yuzu > Open Save Data Location.
  4. Delete the existing folder (back it up first!).
  5. Paste the new save_data folder into the window.

: To move data between emulators (e.g., from Yuzu to Suyu or Ryujinx), open the save data location on both, then copy the files from the source and paste them into the destination's "user save directory". Using 100% Completion Save Files

Part 2: How to Back Up Your Smash Bros. Save Data (The "New Safe Way")

In this article, we'll explore the world of save data for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Yuzu, providing you with the latest information on how to save your progress, transfer data, and troubleshoot common issues. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the world of Smash, this guide has got you covered.

Steps:

  1. Open Yuzu and right-click Smash > Open Save Data Location.
  2. Copy the entire 01006A800016E000 folder.
  3. Open Ryujinx. Right-click Smash > Open Save Folder.
  4. Paste the folder there.
  5. Crucial new step: Ryujinx and Yuzu use different encryption keys. You must open Ryujinx, go to File > Load Application > select your Smash Bros. NSP/XCI. Then immediately close it. This forces Ryujinx to generate a new save header.
  6. Replace Ryujinx’s new save_data with your Yuzu save_data.
  7. Launch. Ryujinx will auto-migrate the save on first load.
