Introduction

Installation (typical)

1. Download driver package from the vendor or trusted source.
2. On Windows: run installer (requires admin), reboot if prompted. If driver is unsigned, enable temporary driver installation or use Windows Update when available.
3. On Linux: device should be accessible via /dev/input; install udev rules if provided, and add user to input group. For custom kernel modules, compile and load with modprobe.
4. Launch calibration/config tool after installation to verify axis ranges and button mapping.
