5.3 The Sealing Process

  1. Prepare the Bag: Fill your bag with the desired contents. Squeeze out excess air if necessary (unless sealing vacuum bags, though this unit is not a vacuum chamber).
  2. Position: Place the open end of the bag between the sealing arm and the base. The seal line should be straight and flat.
  3. Seal: Press the sealing arm down firmly with consistent pressure. You will hear a click, and the Sealing Indicator Light will illuminate.
  4. Hold: Keep the arm pressed down. The indicator light will turn off automatically once the timer cycle is finished.
  5. Release: Do not lift the arm immediately. Hold the arm down for an additional 2-3 seconds to allow the seal to cool and set under pressure (this creates the "impulse" seal strength).
  6. Lift: Release the arm and remove the bag. Check the seal.
