The Dark Side: SafetyNet and the Banking Dilemma
Hardware & Software:
- ASUS Zenfone 9 (obviously). Model number: AI2202.
- A Windows PC, Linux machine, or macOS. (Windows is easiest due to driver support).
- A high-quality USB-C to USB-A cable. The one that came in the box works. Avoid cheap charging-only cables.
- At least 60% battery on your Zenfone 9. Prefer 80%+.
Proceed only if you understand the risks.
2. Re-enable USB Debugging & OEM Unlocking.
The factory reset wiped Developer Options. Go turn them on again.
Enable OEM unlocking and USB debugging:
